As Europe’s largest flour milling company, we contribute to the nutrition of millions of people in Europe every day. We take this responsibility very seriously at all times, and especially in times of crisis.
The war in Ukraine is a tragedy, especially for the people affected. Our deepest sympathy goes out to them. In order to help as quickly and unbureaucratically as possible, the immediate measures of the GoodMills Group focus on the following areas:
- Financial support to our partner organization CONCORDIA, which is the largest NGO in Moldova, providing immediate help to Ukrainian refugees.
- Delivery of a first contingent of 500,000 kg of flour as in-kind donations to NGOs and partners in Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, helping to ensure the short- and medium-term supply of refugees.
In order to also fulfill our economic responsibility, we continuously analyze developments on the raw material markets. This enables us to derive appropriate measures to keep the impact on our business as low as possible and ensure security of supply.
Much depends on how the situation in the region develops in the coming weeks. However, we can assure you that there is sufficient grain in all countries where GoodMills operates to maintain production in our mills.
